Our CEO, Adam Sutherland BSc ACSI CeMAP, is a Qualified Investment Adviser (Financial Planning & Advice, Securities, Derivatives) and Mortgage & Protection Adviser. He is an Investment Consultant at his IFA firm Sutherland Financial Planning Ltd.

Adam graduated in 2007 with a BSc in Investment and Finance in Property from Henley Business School (part of The University of Reading) with a degree classification of 2.1. Upon graduation he was employed by Investec Bank plc (part of the FTSE 250 index) for over five years in both London and Manchester offices within the Structured Property Finance Team of the Private Banking Division. Operating as a Private Banker he dealt with High Net Worth clients and oversaw an international loan portfolio.
Adam left Investec in 2012 to develop an Online Estate Agency called "MyHouseAdvert.co.uk". The agency went on to sell over 1,100 properties across the UK and in 2016 the proprietary software was sold to Merryweathers Estate Agents, a well established independent agent in South Yorkshire, facilitating the set up their own online only department www.netmyhouse.com. Between 2017/2018 Adam qualified as an Investment Advisor in Financial Planning & Advice, Securities and Derivatives and is now in the process of qualifying as a Chartered Wealth Manager with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI). The Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification is a postgraduate level specialist qualification which encompasses the breadth of knowledge required to provide exceptional investment advice.
2018/2019 Adam studied an Advanced Diploma in Commodity Trading at GSEM (The Geneva School of Economics and Management), followed by the COVID lockdown!
After 3 years at St. James's Place Wealth Management, between 2021 and 2024, working for an Appointed Representative, he left to set us his own Independent Financial Advice (IFA) firm, Sutherland Financial Planning Ltd.
He is a keen property investor with a passion for quality HMO/shared accommodation for young professionals or mature students and can provide tours of his exisiting HMO Investments, upon request.
